These Terms of Sale apply to all purchases made through KrakenBay.co.uk (“Kraken Bay”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By placing an order, you agree to these terms in full. Please read them carefully before completing your purchase.
1. About Kraken Bay
Kraken Bay is a UK-based retailer specialising in refurbished IT equipment, components, and technology. All products sold on our website are sourced, tested, and graded according to strict internal standards.

2. Order Acceptance
When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This confirms we have received your order, not that we have accepted it.
Your order is officially accepted once:
Payment has successfully been processed
We have dispatched your item
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders for reasons including but not limited to: pricing errors, stock issues, suspected fraud, or misuse of our website.
3. Pricing & Payment
All prices listed on KrakenBay.co.uk are in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.
You agree that:
Prices may change at any time
You are responsible for providing accurate billing information
Your payment method may be charged immediately upon checkout
If a pricing error is discovered, we may cancel the order and offer you the chance to re-order at the correct price.
4. Product Condition & Grading
Kraken Bay specialises in refurbished, pre-owned, and reclaimed IT hardware. As such:
Items may show cosmetic wear
Items are tested and graded according to our internal standards
Stock images may be used for illustrative purposes only
It is your responsibility to check compatibility before purchasing. We can provide guidance upon request.
5. Dispatch & Delivery
We dispatch orders within 24 hours Monday–Friday.
Delivery is tracked and timing will depend on the shipping option selected at checkout.
Next-day delivery is only guaranteed if the appropriate paid option is chosen.
We are not responsible for courier delays, missed delivery attempts, or factors outside our control once the item has left our warehouse.
6. Risk & Title
Risk of loss or damage passes to you once the item is delivered to your address.
Ownership (title) remains with Kraken Bay until full payment has been received.
7. Returns Policy
Our returns policy is detailed separately on our Returns page and forms part of these Terms of Sale.
Key points:
You have 30 days to request a return
Items must be returned in the same condition they were received
Return shipping may be the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty or not as described
We reserve the right to refuse returns outside policy terms or for items that have been tampered with, damaged, or improperly installed.
8. Warranty
Most products include a 3-month hardware warranty, unless otherwise stated on the product page.
Warranty covers:
Hardware faults
Component failure not caused by customer misuse
Warranty does not cover:
Physical damage
Incorrect installation
Attempted repairs
Software issues
Liquid damage
Overheating caused by dust or misuse
Overclocking or modification
We may repair, replace, or refund the item at our discretion.
9. Faulty Goods
If your item develops a fault during the warranty period:

Describe the issue and provide your order number
We may request photos, diagnostics, or additional information
If the fault is confirmed, we will provide a free return label and process a repair or replacement.
Where repair or replacement is not possible, a refund will be issued.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Kraken Bay is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
We are not responsible for data loss — please back up your devices
Our total liability will not exceed the purchase price of the item in question
You use refurbished equipment at your own risk, and it is your responsibility to ensure compatibility with your existing systems.
11. Software & Licensing
Unless explicitly stated, refurbished devices do not include software licences such as Windows, Office, or manufacturer-specific activation keys.
Any installed software may be for testing only and should be replaced with a properly licensed version by the purchaser.
12. Customer Responsibilities
By purchasing, you agree to:
Install items correctly
Use compatible hardware
Not attempt repairs that void warranty
Follow manufacturer and industry safety standards
We cannot be held responsible for damage caused by improper installation or misuse.
13. Changes to These Terms
Kraken Bay may update these Terms of Sale at any time.
The version active at the time of purchase will apply to that transaction.
14. Governing Law
These Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be handled exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
